CAMPER VANS
A small site for camper vans at Grasmere School, just by the showground, will be available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights – £25.00. Hard standing, water available. School site adjacent to Grasmere Sports field (Fred Whitton event hub). All proceeds go to the school educational visits fund.

WINDERMERE & BOWNESS
Windermere is just a few miles away from Grasmere and has lots of places to stay from lovely hotels, campsites, caravan parks and B&Bs. A Google search for accommodation will give you all the options you need and of course Booking.com

How to get here & Parking
The showground is located on the road into Grasmere village on the right-hand side just after the mini-roundabout.

There is lots of free parking available at Ride HQ, Grasmere Showground, but most of the parking is on grass so could be slow parking cars if the weather is bad. If you are staying close by please help by leaving your car at the accommodation.

It takes over 350 registered volunteers to keep the Wheelbase Fred Whitton Challenge going. If you’d like to help out at the event jobs for volunteers vary depending on location, time of day and skills. Please register your interest before the event. All volunteers are guaranteed a place on the following years' ride.
